Ustaz Yahya Othman was a prominent Malaysian Islamic scholar, leader, and politician who passed away in 2012. Ustaz Yahya Othman was appointed as a member of the PAS Central Working Committee from 1983 to 1999 and a member of the PAS Ulama Council from 1987. He also served as the secretary of the PAS Ulama Council from 1993 to 1998. He was elected as a state assemblyman for Banggol Judah in Kelantan from 1990 to 1999 and became the chairman of the State Committee on Islamic Development, Education, and Dakwah.
